The Buddy Fred

We were supposed to have 15 -20 knots out of the north today which is why we departed the ICW route and headed outside into the Pamlico sound. Unfortunately, the wind never showed up and we ended up motoring the entire distance except for about 2 hours where we drifted along at a stately 4 knot pace.

The only bit of excitement to report today were the four bluefish we caught along the way. 3 of the 4 got filleted for dinner, the remaining one jumped back into the sea while I was holding him. They ranged in length from 12 to 22 inches.

We are now safely tied up to the Buddy Fred's pier at his house in Oriental where we will likely remain for at least a week or so.
