It Won't Die

The stench of Regretta continues to linger like a four day old road kill and despite the closing party ceremony last night there are still a couple of Regretta events happening today. Is it just me or should the closing ceremonies signify the END of Regretta ?

All in all, the Regretta committee pudmonkies managed to embarrass themselves quite thoroughly and the only good thing I can say about them and the whole Regretta experience is that it's all but over for the year.

As an aside, I am still holding out hope that the remnants of Al Queda will respond to my letter requesting that they begin targeting members of the Regretta committee for termination.

In other news, Amy and I played in the invitation only poker game last night up at St. Francis and I'm proud to say we came home with 4th place and 1st place money. Kick ass!

On the boat front, I got in the water yesterday and cleaned the bottom on my side of the boat. Amy says she'll get to her's tomorrow or the next day, but given the forecast for 30+ knots of wind coming soon, I am somewhat sceptical.

I'm keeping busy with a couple of canvas projects for some friends and I am probably busy for the next 4 or 5 days. With Regretta behind us, hopefully things will quiet down here in the harbour. At the rate we're going, I don't know if we'll leave G'Town until after the family island regatta, but we're having a good time, so no one is in a hurry.

More to follow, end of line ....
