So Amy was recently stateside to renew her driver’s license and passport and while she was there, she picked us up a new, top of the line Android smartphone. There are literally thousands of models of phones available out there, but we choose to focus on only those models that had high end cameras built into them.

In the end, we settled on a Sony XPeria Z2. It’s water proof, 4G LTE compatible, lightning fast and it sports a 20+ megapixel camera with a host of high end camera features that mean absolutely nothing to me as I have neither the time nor the inclination to understand.

I can tell you that it takes awesome pictures and has a bunch of cool specialty functions built in, including this panoramic feature that I used to take the photo above. It’s a little rough, but I suspect that is due to operator error, not an equipment issues. In any case, the website should start to sport some nicer pictures as we now have much better gear to work with.

Of course, image quality won’t make up for low end subject matter, and to that end, I give you the latest in my ongoing “BozoDeluxe” self shots. I call this one, “RespoBozo”. Remember, don’t try this at home as extensive testing has resulted in pregnancy in laboratory rats.

In other news, I went to the boat this morning and removed our external cooktop to take back to the house for some modifications. Mostly I just need to adjust the flip-top counter area to level it with the cooktop base.

In it’s current form, there is a half in difference in deck height between the two and this is kind of awkward when your trying to cook multiple items, hence the trip back down pit road for some in race adjustments.

The modifications appear to be fairly minor so I hope to knock this project out this afternoon and return the cooktop to the big boat tomorrow. More to follow, end of line ….
